Leadership takeaway

Protect discovery. Improve measurement.

Organic Search delivered 1,266 sessions, accounting for 73.05% of all visits. The six store homepages collectively received 1,601 views, with Harvey leading at 562.

Shopping intent is measurable: 270 users generated 505 Click-to-Shop events. These actions indicate movement into shopping pathways; completed purchases and store revenue are not established by these screenshots.

Previous-period signal: The home snapshot shows sessions down 2.9%, active users down 2.2% and engaged sessions down 2.8%. Its comparison dates are not visible, so these are reported as the snapshot’s previous-period changes, rather than a verified August comparison.
Trend tracker

Below July’s activity levels.

July is the supplied benchmark. This compares two monthly totals, not consecutive months; July had 31 days and September had 30.

Measurement July 2026 September 2026 Change vs July
Sessions 2,239 1,733 -22.6%
Active users 1,564 1,229 -21.4%
New users 1,501 1,163 -22.5%
Page views 5,032 3,522 -30.0%
Tracked events 15,143 10,812 -28.6%
Click-to-Shop actions 694 505 -27.2%
What this means: Sessions were 22.6% below July and shopping actions were 27.2% lower. Page views per session fell from 2.25 to 2.03. The supplied evidence shows lower activity, but does not establish its cause. August detail would be needed to assess the intervening trend.
Customer acquisition

Organic Search powered September.

Search remains the largest source of both visits and first-time discovery.

1,266

Organic Search sessions

73.05% of September sessions came through Organic Search.

  • 930 total users had Organic Search as their first-user channel.
  • 873 new users first discovered ARC through search: 75.06% of all new users.
  • Organic Search sessions generated 7,396 tracked events.
  • 207 returning users were reported overall; new and returning users can overlap within a month.

Monthly traffic mix

Channel Sessions Share
Organic Search 1,266 73.05%
Direct 315 18.18%
AI Assistant 95 5.48%
Referral 53 3.06%
Unassigned 2 0.12%
Source reconciliation: The displayed channel rows sum to 1,731 sessions, two below the reported total of 1,733. Shares use GA4’s reported total; the source values are retained without allocating the difference.

Emerging signal: AI Assistant traffic contributed 95 sessions, up from 65 in July (+46.2%), with 4m 54s average engagement per session. Only four new users had AI Assistant as their first-user channel. These reports use different attribution scopes; they do not count the same thing. ARC chatbot conversations and voice calls are not measured by this acquisition category.
Store visibility

Every location drew attention.

Harvey led the six store homepages. Their combined 1,601 views accounted for 45.46% of all page views; the gateway added another 306.

Homepage Views Active users Avg engagement per active user
Harvey Avenue 562 285 47s
Guisachan 256 163 44s
Vernon 58th Avenue 227 162 32s
Glenmore 214 129 2s
Vernon Square Mall 195 126 31s
Revelstoke 147 110 28s
All Stores gateway 306 187 1s
What this means: The network is attracting attention beyond Harvey. Gateway engagement of 1s may reflect quick onward navigation, while Glenmore’s 2s warrants a page and tracking check. These figures alone cannot distinguish efficient navigation from a weak experience. Users across pages overlap and must not be added together.
Emily
122 views
8 active users; 5s average engagement
Featured Emily’s Wine Selects
70 views
18 active users; 1m 52s average engagement

Emily’s 15.25 views per active user suggests repeated viewing within a small audience. Check internal and test traffic before treating those views as broad customer adoption. Pages are grouped by page title in the supplied report.

What this means: Click-to-Shop reached 21.84% of total users (270 ÷ 1,236), with 1.87 actions per shopping user. This is a user participation measure, not a purchase conversion rate. Users can trigger multiple event types; counts and user totals are not additive.
Customer journey

Connect discovery with the next step.

A strategic view of ARC’s customer pathways, rather than a measured funnel.

Find a store

Search discovery → All Stores gateway or store homepage → store information or shopping link.

Search visitors can land directly on a store page, bypassing the gateway.

Find a product

Wine content or product discovery → Emily or Product Finder → shopping pathway or store enquiry.

The screenshots do not connect these stages at user level or confirm a purchase.

Month in review

A stronger service foundation.

September operational progress provides context alongside GA4. These improvements are drawn from the project record, not measured as outcomes in the screenshots.

Inventory

More reliable product answers

API-based inventory retrieval was introduced for conversational assistants, with store-specific tests and prompt improvements.

Customer service

Voice and manager workflows

Voice assistant testing and tuning continued. Ava Harvey’s manager workflow was refined for caller details, bookings, notifications and after-hours handling.

Consistency

One ARC standard

Product Finders, inventory updates and store assistant guidance continued to develop around consistent product information and customer next steps.

September wins

What moved forward

  • Organic Search supplied nearly three-quarters of sessions.
  • All six store homepages attracted customer attention.
  • 270 users generated shopping actions.
  • Conversational inventory tests supported the retrieval improvements.
October priorities

Where attention goes next

  • Audit engagement and key-event configuration before judging conversion performance.
  • Check form events for duplication and missing starts.
  • Review gateway and Glenmore navigation and tracking.
  • Verify internal-traffic filtering for Emily and assistant testing.
  • Continue inventory QA and tag promotional links to measure their contribution.
“Search is bringing customers to ARC. The next priority is making every next step useful—and measurable.”

Leadership watch list

Make the signals more trustworthy.

These are measurement limitations to resolve before interpreting engagement or key events as business success.

Engagement and key events

GA4 reports 1,731 engaged sessions out of 1,733 (99.88%), 9,951 key events and a 100% session key-event rate. The key-event snapshot includes page_view, user_engagement, session_start and first_visit.

Broadly marking routine events as key events can make engagement and conversion rates less useful. Review the event configuration and retain commercially meaningful actions as the main leadership measures.

Forms and revenue

There were 169 form_submit events but only 128 form_start events. This is not a valid completion funnel. Audit event coverage, repeat submissions and possible duplicates before reporting successful enquiries.

GA4 shows $0 recorded revenue. The screenshots do not establish that ARC generated no sales; completed purchases may occur outside the measured website journey.

Understanding the report

What the GA4 terms mean.

A practical guide for reading the monthly leadership figures.

Views

Page loads and revisits. One user can create many views.

Total and Active Users

Total users include users who triggered events; active users are the active audience metric. September reports 1,236 total users and 1,229 active users.

New and Returning Users

New users are first-time users in the reporting system. A user can be both new and returning within the month, so the two counts are not additive.

Sessions

Visits to the website. One user may generate more than one session.

Engaged Sessions

Visits meeting GA4 engagement criteria. ARC’s near-100% rate needs configuration review because routine events appear in its key-event list.

Average Engagement

Active engagement time. Per-user and per-session averages use different denominators and should be labelled separately.

Events and Key Events

Events include routine and intentional actions. Key events are events selected in GA4 as important; the label alone does not establish a sale or lead.

Click

The event named click. Its exact coverage depends on the site’s tracking configuration.

Click-to-Shop and Product Clicks

ARC’s custom shopping and product action events. They indicate intent; this report does not verify transactions.

Form Start and Form Submit

Recorded form events. They require validation before they can be interpreted as enquiries or a completion rate.

Scroll

Recorded scroll activity. The depth threshold depends on tracking configuration.

Acquisition Channels

Organic Search is unpaid search traffic. Direct lacks a clear attributed source. First-user channels describe original acquisition; session channels describe the current visit.

AI Assistant Traffic

Visits GA4 attributes to its AI Assistant channel. This does not measure ARC assistant conversations or voice calls.

Recorded Revenue

Revenue received by GA4’s tracking. A $0 value does not establish that no sales occurred elsewhere.
