Lunessence Winery at ARC Harvey

Organic Summerland Wines with Freshness, Balance, and a Sense of Place

Some wines impress through weight. Lunessence speaks through freshness, balance, vivid fruit, and the quiet energy of a healthy vineyard.

Lunessence Winery & Vineyard is based on Summerland's lakeside slopes, where its estate has been farmed organically since the winery launched in 2014 and has been certified organic since 2020.

The winery's philosophy begins with a living, balanced ecosystem. Natural wetlands, biodiversity, careful farming, and environmental stewardship all help shape wines intended to reflect the place where their grapes were grown.

At ARC Liquor Harvey, our Lunessence collection includes five distinctive bottles: Field White ESV 2025, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Rosé.

Together, they offer a thoughtful introduction to the winery—from bright and aromatic whites through a refreshing rosé to an elegant, food-friendly Pinot Noir. Emily's featured bottle is the 2023 Riesling, selected as the Fresh Pairing White in her Summer Selects Collection.

A Thoughtful Approach on Summerland's Lakeside Slopes

Lunessence was founded on a simple belief: great wine begins with a healthy, living vineyard. Instead of treating the land as a backdrop, the winery places soil, biodiversity, and ecological balance at the centre of every decision.

The estate has been farmed organically since 2014 and achieved organic certification in 2020. That long-term commitment supports the vineyard as a varied ecosystem rather than focusing only on the vines themselves.

Two natural wetlands on the property provide important habitat and add another layer of life to the estate. Protecting those spaces reflects Lunessence's wider belief that environmental stewardship and expressive wine belong to the same conversation.

From vineyard to cellar, the goal is clarity rather than excess: wines with freshness, balance, and enough definition to show the character of Summerland's estate-grown fruit.

Our Lunessence Picks at ARC Harvey

ARC Harvey currently carries five Lunessence wines. The collection moves naturally from bright, expressive whites through a fresh rosé to an elegant Pinot Noir, with Emily's food-flexible Riesling at its heart.

Lunessence Field White ESV 2025

An estate-grown blend of Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Blanc with floral lift, orchard fruit, citrus, and gentle spice. Wild fermentation and whole-cluster pressing support a bright, expressive style for fragrant curries, sushi, fresh seafood, salads, and softly spiced appetizers.

The Expressive Estate White

Lunessence Pinot Blanc

An elegant, mineral-driven white with apple, quince, white peach, citrus zest, and a gently textured finish. Its balance of freshness and substance makes it a natural match for poached salmon, crab cakes, shellfish, roast chicken, creamy vegetables, and soft cheeses.

The Elegant Textured White

Lunessence Pinot Noir

A graceful Okanagan Pinot Noir shaped by red cherry, raspberry, delicate spice, savoury earth, and soft tannins. Its bright, medium-bodied character suits salmon, duck, roast chicken, pork, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, and relaxed dinners on the patio.

The Graceful Summer Red

Lunessence Riesling 2023

A bright Summerland Riesling with jasmine, green apple, fresh pear, lime, passion fruit, citrus, and a stony mineral finish. Vivid fruit and lively acidity make it especially useful with Thai-style dishes, sushi, poke, prawns, seafood, summer salads, and salty snacks.

Lunessence Rosé

A fresh, dry rosé with red berry, cherry, melon, citrus, and a gentle savoury-spice note. Bright acidity and an easy food-pairing shape make it a welcoming choice for prawns, salmon, charcuterie, picnic plates, summer salads, grilled chicken, and warm afternoons outdoors.

The Fresh Patio Rosé

Organic Farming, with the Estate Left in the Wine

Lunessence describes its wines as expressions of the earth they come from. That idea begins with organically farmed estate vineyards and a commitment to biodiversity, healthy soils, and environmentally sensitive viticulture.

The winery's natural wetlands help support wildlife and a balanced ecosystem around the vines. This broader view of the property treats farming and habitat protection as connected parts of the same work.

In the cellar, minimal intervention helps preserve what the vineyard has already created. The aim is not to cover the fruit with technique, but to guide it toward wines that remain clear, expressive, and true to their Summerland origins.

For the customer, that philosophy appears in the glass as freshness and definition: aromatic whites with energy, structured reds with balance, and wines that feel naturally comfortable at the table.

A Living Vineyard Built Around Balance

Lunessence's Summerland estate sits within a landscape of vineyard, lake influence, sloping terrain, and natural habitat. These conditions give the winery a distinctive setting for growing fruit with freshness and character.

Organic farming encourages careful attention to soil health and the life surrounding the vines. Biodiversity is not treated as decoration; it is part of the balanced vineyard system the winery works to protect.

The estate's natural wetlands make that philosophy visible. They support wildlife habitat and reinforce the idea that a vineyard can produce expressive fruit while remaining connected to the wider ecosystem around it.

In the 2023 Riesling, that sense of balance becomes jasmine, green apple, pear, lime, passion fruit, bright acidity, and a focused mineral finish—the qualities that give the wine both personality and practical pairing range.

Not Sure Which Lunessence Wine Fits? Ask Emily.

Tell Emily what you are serving, whether you prefer something crisp, aromatic, textured, fruit-forward, or red, and how much you would like to spend.

She can help you compare the floral, gently spicy character of Field White with the quieter texture and citrus-mineral shape of Pinot Blanc, or explain why Riesling is especially effective with spice, sushi, seafood, and salty flavours.

For a relaxed patio bottle, Rosé brings fresh red fruit and savoury versatility. When the meal calls for red, Pinot Noir offers cherry, spice, soft tannins, and enough freshness for salmon, poultry, pork, mushrooms, and charcuterie.

You do not need to know the technical language of acidity, lees, or whole-cluster pressing. Tell Emily what would make the bottle right for your meal or occasion, and she can guide you toward the Lunessence wine that fits.
