Nostalgia Wines at ARC Harvey

Black Sage Bench Wine, Four Generations of Family Farming, and a Playful Sense of Occasion

Some wineries make you remember a bottle. Nostalgia wants you to remember the moment around it.

Nostalgia Wines is a woman-owned boutique winery on the Black Sage Bench in Oliver. Owner and vintner Gina Fernandes Harfman brings four generations of South Okanagan farming experience to a small-lot portfolio filled with personality, regional character, and a genuine invitation to make new memories.

At ARC Liquor Harvey, our Nostalgia collection currently includes six listings: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot–Cabernet, Pinot Gris, Rosé, and the winery's lightly sparkling Chantilly Lace.

Emily's Chantilly Lace is the playful sparkling bottle within that wider story—fruity, softly effervescent, and ready for brunch, birthdays, patio toasts, and celebrations that value fun before formality.

A Winery Where Family History Meets Creative Personality

Gina Fernandes Harfman is the fourth generation of her family to work South Okanagan soil. Before wine became her profession, her creative path included fine-art studies and airbrushing and pinstriping hot rods and motorcycles—an artistic background that helps explain why Nostalgia's identity feels so distinctive.

Gina made her first family wines in 2009 using grapes from her father Ken Harfman's vineyard and created custom pinstriped labels for the occasion. She enrolled in winemaking studies that same year, gained practical cellar experience, and took ownership of the winery in 2012.

Today, that combination of farming, winemaking, family, art, and automotive culture runs throughout Nostalgia. The retro labels and flower-filled vintage truck bring the smile, but the bottles are grounded in serious attention to vineyard character and vintage.

Our Nostalgia Wines Picks at ARC Harvey

The Sunny Okanagan Rosé

Playful on the Outside, Purposeful in the Bottle

Nostalgia's personality is impossible to miss. Retro pin-up artwork, automotive influences, a flower-filled vintage truck, and names such as Chantilly Lace make the winery feel welcoming before the first glass is poured.

Behind that lighthearted presentation is a vintner rooted in family farming and small-lot production. Gina's aim is to capture what each vintage and vineyard can offer, then create wines that become part of the stories customers remember around the table.

That balance of identity and substance has earned national attention, including being named #3 Top Small Winery in Canada by WineAlign in 2024. The achievement supports what makes Nostalgia compelling: the experience is fun, but the wine is never treated casually.

From Vineyard to Bottle

Black Sage Bench Warmth with Deep Family Roots

Nostalgia is located on the Black Sage Bench in Oliver, where long summer days and warm South Okanagan conditions give wine grapes the opportunity to build generous flavour while the surrounding valley keeps the landscape unmistakably local.

The winery's perspective reaches beyond a single season. Four generations of family farming connect today's bottles to decades of knowledge about the South Okanagan, its vineyards, and the patience required to build something that lasts.

That sense of place helps the portfolio move comfortably from fresh Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Rosé to Cabernet Sauvignon and blended reds, while Chantilly Lace turns local Kerner and Chardonnay into a softer, fruit-forward frizzante celebration.

Not Sure Which Nostalgia Wine Fits? Ask Emily.

Tell Emily whether the bottle is for brunch, a patio toast, barbecue, dinner, dessert, or a gift, what wine styles you normally enjoy, what you are serving, and how much you would like to spend.

She can help you compare the easy refreshment of Pinot Gris and Rosé with the richer feel of Chardonnay, the deeper character of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot–Cabernet, or the soft sparkle and generous fruit of Chantilly Lace.

Nostalgia's labels may start the conversation, but Emily can help make sure the wine inside fits the occasion you actually have in mind.
