River Stone Estate Winery at ARC Harvey
South Okanagan Wines Shaped by Stone, Sun, and Patience
Some bottles give you more than a familiar varietal.
River Stone Estate Winery is a small, family-owned producer located just outside Oliver in the heart of the South Okanagan. Surrounded by estate vineyards and shaped by rocky, free-draining soils, the winery has built its reputation around expressive reds, aromatic whites, patient farming, and wines with a genuine connection to where they were grown.
At ARC Liquor Harvey, our River Stone selection gives customers several ways to discover the producer—from fresh and approachable Good Neighbours wines to rosé, sparkling wine, expressive Merlot, and more substantial red blends made for dinner and special occasions.
Whether you are choosing something easy for the patio, planning a meal, building a mixed case, or looking for a local bottle with a stronger sense of place, River Stone is a producer worth exploring.
A Family Winery Built One Step at a Time
River Stone began with owner and winemaker Ted Kane’s fascination with winemaking, vineyard science, and the belief that exceptional wine begins with exceptional fruit.
His search for the right place eventually led the family to a property near Oliver with south-facing slopes, long hours of sunlight, and deep gravel soils capable of providing both drainage and heat retention.
From those beginnings, River Stone developed into an estate winery with a clear philosophy: work patiently, keep the vines in balance, respect the conditions of each growing season, and allow the vineyard to guide the character of the finished wine.

Distinctive Red Pick
Wines with a Genuine Sense of Place
River Stone’s wines begin in vineyards planted on south-facing slopes where rock, sand, and gravel help control drainage, retain warmth, and support the steady ripening of expressive fruit.
For the customer, that means a bottle with more behind it than a familiar grape name. There is a family, a vineyard, a particular piece of South Okanagan land, and years of patience behind every selection.
Whether the bottle is an approachable Good Neighbours white or a more serious red, River Stone gives customers a way to connect everyday enjoyment with authentic local winemaking.
River Rock, Boulder City, and the Land Between
River Stone’s River Rock Vineyard surrounds the winery’s tasting room and family home. Its second site, Boulder City Vineyard, sits nearby across Tucelnuit Drive.
Both vineyards occupy south-facing slopes with soils shaped by the last glacial recession. Rock, sand, and gravel provide natural drainage while helping the ground retain the warmth required for consistent fruit maturity.
River Stone’s vineyard philosophy is based on balance and patience. Rather than expecting every season to behave the same way, the winery works with the conditions nature provides and allows each vintage to develop its own character.
Not Sure Which River Stone Wine Fits? Ask Emily.
Tell Emily what you are serving, what kind of wine you normally enjoy, whether the occasion is casual or special, and how much you would like to spend.
She can help narrow the selection from a bright Good Neighbours white or refreshing rosé to sparkling wine, smooth Merlot, or a more substantial bottle such as Corner Stone or Stones Throw.
That makes a nine-bottle producer selection easier to explore and gives customers a clearer reason to choose one River Stone wine over another.
